So I think I mentioned before that I play Warhammer 40K. I both love and hate the tyranids. As a whole, their concept is pretty cool. But the current way they're built makes the little guys expendable popcorn and Carnifex's are game ending titans. I know people disagree with me and this is actually more likely just poor army building on my part.I do get my best game quotes from them though. Two best:

They're everywhere sir! Well then, it should be pretty hard to miss soldier; keep firing.

Oh God, OH GOD! Where did they come from? (4 separate times) Damn bugs are sneaky.

I have an undefeated Tyranid army, but this motivator is too true, and so are those other quotes.
Congrats on the army ( though i prefer crons, the end result is still a lifeless rock ) More coming soon. Having trouble navigating Deviantart's policy on reusing public works.
Exactly, Lifeless rock. I like the necrons as well, as they are a fully mechanical race, with the Tyranids being the opposite, However there is only one mind that truly controlls the Tyranids. In my opinion, (and from what i've read in the games-workshop stuff) the Tyranids will be the inevitable winners.
It would take 75% of the entire Imperium. This counts men, woman, children, all of the legions and weapons of war to defeat the Tyranid threat to the galaxy. Now if the Imperium where not such facist asshats then with the help of the Eldar and Tau they would stand a chance.

But its the light of the Astronomicon that keeps drawing more Tyranids to the galaxy. Kill the Emperor and the light of the Astronomicon goes out and the Tyranids leave. Just let Cypher into the throne room so that the Emperors gaze will restore the Lion Sword, thus forgiving the Dark Angels. Cypher kills the Emperor, the Emperors spirit enters Cyphers body and is reborn. Another option is that the High Lords heal him, they know how to, but they wont. Because they are afraid of the punishment.

If something is not done. Like the revival of the Emperor and return of the Primarchs. Then yes the Tyranids will eventually consume the galaxy.
I personally think the whole great war will end with the Necrons and Tyranids engaged in a war that neither side will ever win. There are too many Tyranids, and Necrons are too indestructible. Though I think the crons will win, considering that once the Nightbringer finishes feeding on the heat of stars and the life force of the countless Tyranids, he will be able to destroy the entire galaxy with a flick of the wrist.

Oh, and nice pic. You're gonna need WAY more lasguns! Chaos is my personal favorite race.

As cool a battle as that would be, its also likely the necrons are the race the tyranids will see the least of. Tyranids are drawn towards planets rich in food for them, that is to say life, nutrients, water and such. Whenever necrons rise from one of their tombworlds, they exterminate all life, down to the microscopic even, then ensure that no life will flourish on the planet again. It actually states in both of their fluffs, that there are some planets that until the discovery of the necrons, were inexplicably avoided by the tyranids.
Gr8 picture. Love the caption.

It also depends on the genesis of the Tyranids. There is a rumor that the fourth C'tan, known as the Outsider, actually created the Tyranids...
Who needs laserguns, when I can call out some of DA BOYS AND UNLESS SOME WAAAAAAAGHHHH!!!
